Purple Amarant Seeds
Annual, easy-grown, valuable plants. Young leaves of the pre-flowering plants are used for food. Leaves and young stems of purple amaranth can be stewed, boiled, preserved or dried. Leaves contain high levels of vitamin C, iron, calcium and trace elements. Nut-flavored seeds may also be consumed – this is a light, quickly digestible food. If grown in a garden bed, amaranth is not very demanding in terms of soil, may be grown in trays for early harvesting. 1 g – approx. 1,500 seeds.
